I know there are lots of Mark Moore's out there - I'm the one who set up Excelerated Performance International (a learning and development consultancy), and The Great Career Escape.

I'm a learning and performance expert, and I use my expertise to help businesses and individuals become more adaptable, stronger, more productive, more innovative, and better at what they do, so they can give more and earn more back. And what I personally learn paves the way for all my other exciting projects!

A Bit About Me

Learning: As a kid, I learned how to learn fast. I learned that learning was a highly active process, driven by the learner not the teacher, and that by understanding how your mind 'works' and developing certain learning skills, you can easily learn twice or even three times as fast. I now teach corporates, business owners, graduates and University students to do the same through my main business 'Excelerated Performance International'.

Ideal Career: I'm a Civil Engineer by degree, (I can't stand the fluffy nonsense and I'm concerned most withmaking things work) but after University found myself in the wrong line of work. After studying plenty of career guides to find my ideal career, I realised I had to go with my hardest punch and passion - teaching others to learn effectively. More recently, I realised just how many people are poorly positioned in their career, making earning a living hard or unenjoyable. I also realised how this hindered their drive and ability to learn and perform well in their work. So I designed my own strategic process to help others find and get in to their ideal career (The Great Career Escape). It's a free e-course. I consider this to be 'step 1' of anyone's career. Performance/Productivity: Of course, learning itself is not enough. In fact, whilst most people are inherently ineffective at learning, they're often even worse at applying what they learn to the job. So I made it my job to get my hands on any tools or techniques to help people capture and organise what they learn (and need to get done), make it easily accessible and as easy as possible to apply at the right times. I teach this in a business context through EPI.

Working for Yourself: These days, we all work for ourselves. I believe in the not too distant future, everyone will realise this. Most people won't work for a single employer, but instead more as a freelancer to multiple clients. Bricks and mortar are gradually becoming irrelevant to both education and business, and as such, individuals can be almost anywhere to learn or provide value. People are going to move where they want, as often as they want, learning and working on different things. And they're going to have to learn fast to keep adapting. I consult with and coach anyone interested in becoming a strong self-directed worker (or learner) whether they are still employed (but acknowledge they work for themselves and want to drive their career forwards) or whether they want to go freelance or set up a micro-business. I make the entire challenge much easier for them.

Other Projects: I've worked for myself since 2003, and love to add value to other people with my own unique ideas. Most of my work fits under the learning/business/performance/productivity banner, but I also have some other fun projects on the go. I helped my wife set up a business teaching art and creativity classes for kids, and since I've always loved comedy and stand up comedians, I'm currently collaborating on a UK comedy website - a kind of virtual comedy club.
